Hello,

I am trying to raise the stern of the boat off the trailer to work on the rollers. I have tried tires off the rim with pieces of wood in it to firm it up, but I'm not getting it to work.
I am afraid to just use a jack on one cental point for fear of damaging some thing on the boat.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Eric

what i have done is lower the bow, block up on both side of the transom with cinder block, and wood on top, you can put smaller pieces under the larger top piece, to conform to the angle of the hull, then jack up the bow, stearn lift off trailer, keep jacking and block up keel and lower front of trailer . boat is suspended in the air.

I have to replace my rollers and bunk carpet myself. I will have to try that.

Why not float the boat and moor it, then work on the trailer in the ramp car park. I replaced the rear skeg roller on my trailer in less than half and hour so I launched, then beached the boat while I worked. The only thing is you have to plan exactly what tools and parts you need.
Anyway, just a suggestion.
