ttilt trim problems

Have a 1976 cheetah 170 with a alpha one a newer 3.0 mercruiser. The boat sat since 2009 it has 50 hours on the motor and out drive the out drive is stuck in the up position when trying to trim down the solenoid click when straight wired to green wire the pump runs but out drive will not lower the cylinder arms were replaced with out drive what could be the problem

Probably the valves are stuck. Here is a link to find the manual

You may be able to free them up but if corression is in the valves it may not work properly

If your talking on the outside it won't hurt, don't use it on the inside. The you could loosen the lines and try to push it down manually. If it does do it that way suggest taking it apart.

well I took them off all the hose lines and took them off the boat im take them to a machine shot get them compressed because there locked up from sitting up s long the almost new
