Tube Inflator/Power Problem

I was hoping someone could help me with my seems to be weird issue. I have one of those portable pumps/inflators to pump up tubes. Last time I plugged it in it did not work. I tested the cigarette lighter/power port and I got 12 volts. I plug my phone charger into it and it works fine. I tried the inflator and get nothing. What could it be totally perplexed, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. It is a 1990 Sea Ray Cuddy with a Merc stern drive.

Is there an inline fuse going to the air pump? It is possible it blew.

I plugged the air pump into my car and it works fine. Yes it does have an inline fuse and it is not blown.

measure the depth of the outlets between your car and your boat. I bet you find that your inflater is not making contact with the end terminal in the socket.

I took a look at that and it does go all the way in. ugh does not make any sense
