Hey guys I was just wondering if it would be practical to tube/wakeboard with my boat.

I have a 16 ft fiberglass boat, cruising style (I guess) with a 1962 40hp Johnson on it, can she handle it, and if so will it greatly increase wear and tear on my motor?

If it's running good, no problemo...those are torque-y beasts, lots of grunt.

I tubed 5 times maybe more with a 16ft 40hp merc definately possible but also stressful on a 40 breaking plane is tough

We do it all the time with our 13' Boston Whaler with a 40hp Yami on the back.
