I have a 40 HP Johnson on a 16 foot Bass Boat.

Would it harm my engine if I used it to do some tubing?

What would you recommend for the the optimum size tube?

The engine will push the boat at 32 MPH (as read on the Speedometer).

Thanks,

Jerry

Re: Tubing

it would depend more on the prop than the motor. if you have a low pitch prop such a s a 11p , it would allow your boat to get "up to speed" quicker.

tubes generally have a higher drag effect as they arent exactly effiency at its finest.

i have pulled my son on a tube with my 14foot jon boat and a 14hp evinrude.

give her a try and find out. if it lugs too much, try a lower prop

mike
