Tuff Coat

Has anyone used this stuff? I bought a aluminum boat and thought about putting on my decks. I wonder how hot does it get in the sun?

If you mean bed liner stuff...... it comes in colors. The flat black get's hot and the colors are not too bad.

It was and is a popular item for boats.

Very costly.....

Very permanent........

DO NOT use it to stop leaks or think of it as a stop leak.

The project took 1.5 gallons @ $75.00 per gallon. I used black and it gets very hot in the summer, but then again so did the origian green color. The floor coating is holding up very well and I used the boat all year in the salt for duck hunting, clamming, hauling woods and fishing.
The boats deck must be prepped very well, strip, prime then top coat.

We used it in our Lund aluminum. So far we like it well, but it hasn't seen water. Boat is still in resto mode. But, it is a very nonstick surface and is rather light. It won't tear up bare feet easily as it is rubber providing the texture.

I tightline for catfish on the Mississippi river and alot of times we'll pull up to the sand bars and swim. So we get back in the boat with sand and bare footed most of the time. So my thinking is: The sand will just wash out with the tuff coat better than carpet. But I don't want it to burn our feet also. I have a 17 dominator made by Spectrum (tracker). I would go with the swimming pool blue or a plain blue. I might even try the grey. What's yalls opinion?

Go with a medium color such as grey or green. Black too hot.... white is too hard on your eyes in the sun.

Our grey is not to hot. Sand does get stuck to it, but less than carpet. And high pressure water (garden hose) will get it out.
