Afternoon everyone,
My outdrive is in the shop for a rebuild, figured I would do some basic maintenance when I install it. So, looking for advice or a check list on what I should do. It's a 96 2050 Capri with 5.7 carbureted. I really haven't done much to it in the past 5 years and only used it a handful of times. What ignition do I have, or will I need to pull the covers and look at it? I'm thinking Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points?, fuel and oil filters. Lupe points? What else am I missing.

Thanks

Always list engine serial number so folks know what your working on.
Being a 96 model it should be a TBV ignition. my 95 has one but its a 454.

Look at the dizzy cap and rotor, and while many say to replace plugs, I replaced mine a few years ago for the first time and they still didn't need it. Replacing most often never hurts so doing so can be a good thing

Other opinions will be along shortly
