Tuning the Vortec

Went out fishing today. <br /><br />Boat ran fine with the 17" prop and seemed to accelerate better (smoother) with the stronger springs in the carb.<br /><br />WOT was at ~4400 with 3 adults and some fishing gear.....water wasn't flat either.<br /><br />I like the 17" prop better than the 15".......I can cruise at 28-30MPH @ 3500-3600RPM.

Cool............ <br /><br />I see 4800rpms,.... Yourself,.... Nearly Empty Tanks,......Trim running High,..... 4" to 6" Chop,+ No Rollers......................

So ~4400 is ok with that load?<br /><br />Don't want to be lugging this...........

4400 to 4800 is Spec,........ I Believe......

Went out again today...........engine seems very strong.<br /><br />Really think I got something now......<br /><br />Thanks again everyone.......
