Re: Tunnel Hull cavitation questions

Your setup is really close as this is almost a copy of a MAKO hull, I would look at try a different prop.

Re: Tunnel Hull cavitation questions

I know what Hi Jacking is. That wasn't my intention. THe original post was 3 months ago. Plus, the boat first mentioned was a tunnel hull centre console prop with a 90 HP yamaha motor on it. I have a boat that sounds much like it, and was just trying to get more info about the prop that was mentioned by Mommicked. I will leave this topic now. Sorry to everyone who has posted here.

Re: Tunnel Hull cavitation questions

Thanks very much for the replies.
Seems the easiest thing to do is try a new prop.
I've been looking around and seems to me Yamaha sells something they call:
Aluminum Deep V Series, 13.5 x 17, 68V-45941-00-EL which they claim
" Special design improves grip and helps reduce ventilation on deep vee and modified v- hulls.
Seems to me this must be a cupped design that many of you have suggested.
Seems all the websites of other props don't seem to mention "cupped" specifically so I'm assuming the best avenue would be to call the customer service departments to get the low down.
Cold up here in RI so we won't know until late April how this works out.
Coments on specific "cupped" manufacturers ?

Thanks
