Re: Turbo hot shot prop for 20 HP

Thank you so much I wish I had a 40 but PA just bumped the HP to 20 from 9.9 on some lakes

I will go with a 11 or if they have or maybe I could barrow a 20 hp prop from somebody and give it a try

Now just to deside the Turbo or the POWERTECH. The powertech is 40.00 cheaper for the same size.

You could just buy both of them like I did. Just kidding. Hopefully what ever one you get works out for ya.

Jason

Re: Turbo hot shot prop for 20 HP

I just pulled out my service manual and found the page I was overlooking. It has the specs for the motor. It has a RPM range of 4500 to 5500 for the 20. I am overproped for sure. It will be a 10 x 11 for sure and I am leaning towards the Powertech as fisherman 38 said his had more lift than the turbo.

Since I have TNT do I need all the lift of the powertech as it reads a factory equvalant replacement where the turbo hot shot does not list it as a factory equvalant.

Factory equivalent is meant to be basically the same blade design, rake, and cup.
"Most" Turbos are designed to run a bit more efficient than stock.
