Re: Turbo TXP on a sport's cuddy

After spending a few minutes on the Turbo web site, looking at their recommendations for "deep drive application" stern drive props, I came up with two recommendations.

In 3 blade; the Vector in the 14.5 X 23 size. The Turbo 1 is also available in that size, but is a step down compared to the Vector.

In 4 blade; the 2+2 TH, in the 14 X 22 size.

The Fusion 4 is intended for specialty hulls, so may not be well suited for your traditional V hull.

It seems that most of the Turbo props you're looking at are intended for outboard applications with higher than normal mounting heights.

Pretty simple i have them all aside from the Fusion, The ot4 is noted for carrying high loads very well has a very high rake angle along with a fair diameter. I will admit i had forgotten about the aggressive cupping i should have realized that when i saw the 8% slip it come's with age and looking back at this thread i realized i had put a effective 24 pitch on.

There may be hope however this boat was moored and there was some growth build up on the hull with that cleaned off a new carb and a dual plane intake and a bit more tinkering along with a whim and a prayer...4600 here i come..

Sometime later this boat hit 58mph the turbo was a success at about 8% slip.
