Actually trying to get the 13 year old hooked. He can run it where we boat and we can fish a couple of little lakes around here too. We rented a similar boat this summer and he really liked it. He's mechanically inclined and I want him to see us put a little time into it and then turn it for something else. Our own little boat mill . . .
Paid $280 and the guy had the little motor and I got that for $50. Seems to have decent compression and the plug actually looks good, so we'll see. I saw a couple of similar boats for $350 without a motor or a trailer, so I figure we did OK. I was just trying to find one with a trailer and I figured I was gonna drop another 200 or so for a motor. So if this thing runs, cool, if not I'll sell it on eBay and find a 9.9 or so . . .
