So I just swapped props out on my 17 ft Checkmate boat with a 115 merc. My original was chewed up pretty good and I couldnt find any numbers stamped on it so I just used the prop wizard and took a gamble. I ended up getting a 13 1/4x21 and 13 1/4x23. I installed the 23 pitch and took it out to the lake today. I noticed right away that the boat planed alot faster and has a quicker holeshot. The most noticeable improvement was top speed. I dont have gps just a speedo but I gained 10mph on the speedometer. It went from 36mph last week to 46mph. The lake was a bit smoother so that might have helped a bit too. This speed was at 4800 rpm so I think the 21 pitch prop should be pretty close to what I need. So I guess overall I am satisfied with the prop and glad to post the good results.
