Just park the boat in the driveway, run an extension cord to the cuddy, drag your plasma in there, wet down the driveway and tell them their camping. Seriously, cut the umbilical cord to the boob tube...get them to reading and using their imaginations, minus the sugar.

What about LCD sets and winter temps? I read some where that a LCD screen can freeze and be damaged.
Never tested that theory though. I take mine out of the RV for the winter.

That would be the last thing I would put in my cuddy for the children. Million other things to do that will tire them out and get them to sleep early enough to get some quality downtime for yourself.

The LCD tv says that the operating temperature is 40' to something. How does your TV work when its cold out? I was going to put one out by our hot tub. The room is not heated.

We used the shortest wallmount that they had when we bought the TV. It only sticks about 3 inches off the wall. It gives horizontal pan and vertical tilt.

Picked it up with the TV, they have a lot of different mounts. Don't go with a long arm mount. A longer arm mount will make the weight of the TV create more pressure on the base of the mount/anchor bolts.

I just helped a buddy install a naxa 15.6" combo in his motorhome. We knocked out the center of a rectangular cupboard door and kinda picture framed in the TV from the back of the door. Was a bit of work but it is super sweet and very pro.

I have a few places that that idea would have worked out great. If only we had done his install first.

Mine is in a open patio mounted to the wall I do go out on the weekend mornings and have a smoke and coffee this last weekend it was 34' and it worked fine. If the wind is not blowing I have been out there when the temp is below 30' and when ever I am out there I always turn it on so far so good. We have a hot tub out there and a small pool I have wireless speakers by the pool and hot tub with the wall mount on the tv that will swival and tilt so you can watch it from almost any angle. If yours is in a room I would think it would be ok....

O'kay here's the deal. As we all know; most of electronics (including LCD TV's) are made overseas. They come to us in huge containers on ships which are NOT CLIMATE CONTROLLED. . .

Freezing conditions shouldn't actually do damage to the LCD screen. The problem is that until the TV and LCD screen reach a good operating temp the picture will be poor.

If you're in a freezing situation just warm the room a bit and give some time for the TV to warm through. After about 30 min in a room 50deg + the TV should have it's same great picture back.
