Re: twice CATCHED FISH

Back when I was a kid my dad and I fished the Ohio River a lot. One October we were in the channel down from Rising Sun, Indiana and had a basket of 6 or 7 nice channel cats. Well, dummy me caught another and while putting it in the basket I dropped the basket in 20 ft of water. It was gone. The following spring we were fishing the same area and I hooked something. Reeled it in and it was our basket. Still had some skeleton remains in it. I still have the basket.

wwwwwwww,

I know what you mean about the memories. I lost that basket over thirty years ago and my dad still says "Make sure you tie that basket good" everytime we go out. Talk about a memory!

When I was just a boy, I was out with my Uncle drift fishing Lake Geneva and we floated over a full basket someone had lost. Tried to go back and find it but no luck. Years later had wife not tie basket on & throw it over the side. Went home empty handed that day.
