Re: twin honda 130's or 225 4-stroke (honda)
The airman's suggestion is a good one, especially if you're a fisherman. Put a little 9.8hp kicker on my walleye boat a month ago and it was the single best thing I've done to that boat. Made it into a real fishing boat:
1) nice slow troll speed while saving big motor for high speed
2) docking is easy when you can just creep up on the dock
3) better for running in the shallows as the lower end rides higher and costs less than big motor
4) less fuel burned at slow speeds
5) hand tiller makes it more maneuverable than big motor
6) plenty of oomph to keep bow on track when trolling into wind.
7) and, of course, it'll get you home smartly enough, it just won't plane
Get one with electric start (as well as manual)and an alternator and it'll be convenient to use, cover you for most anything and won't cost a lot.

Season's over up here, but can't wait to put that little thing to work next spring.
Bob
