Twins. Does one work harder than the other?

My neighbor has twin Yam 115's on his fishing boat. His mechanic told him that the port engine "works harder" than the starboard engine; presumably because of prop load.

I had never heard this. Is it true? And, if so...is it customary at all for the engines to be swapped around after a certain number of hours?

Thanks for your time and interest,

Chuck

If they are counter rotating engines, there is no real reason for this theory.
