That does not look accidental.

Re: Two boats collide...

From what I saw, this is a common case of the larger vessel, being the burdened vessel, not maneuvering to avoid collision. The vessel doing the filming was the burdened vessel unless it was towing, under sail, restricted by draft, etc..... In recreational boating, the Rules of the Road are often squashed by the testostorone driven Survival of the Largest!

T'would be interesting to know more details of that collision. With all those people on board, I doubt it was staged. Question is how could it occur with so many people and such good visibility?

I agree. The cameraman, the people on the upper deck, etc. No one seemed alarmed.

Weird.

Uh,,,,the friggen front of the boat smashed and not one person is looking for or putting on a PFD. Judging by the wake of the smaller vessel, it looks as if he was turning slightly into the path of the larger vessel.

I'd say it was an accident. There was on guy on the foredeck on the smaller vessel that dissapeared under the bow of the larger vessel

It is hard to get a feel for the speed of the larger boat. It must have been minimal or I think there would have been more damage to the smaller boat. Even so, I find it hard to believe that the people sitting topside were not tossed around. They just appeared to stay glued to their seats.

so much wealth and yet not one ounce of brains. don't vessels that size require a special boating license and a crew? both skippers should face serious fines.

Look at it again, after the collision the smaller boat turned away... if the larger boat had been moving the big boy would have motored right over the smaller boat... staged...

Heck of a lot of money spent if that was staged though. Video wasn't that good that they'd have spent that kind of money using two boats like that for a staged accident.

Fake may be more possible. After watching it again a few times, wondered why folks wouldn't be running the other way on the top deck of the smaller boat seeing it coming. Hard to say
