Two old outboards need wiring documents

I have two boat motors. the first is a Evenrude 40 hp mod #40673B serial Eo1979.
The second is a Johnson 90 hp mod #V4M-105 serial 2417646.
The Johnson is currently on the boat but it does not run, The controls are all there shifter and cables.the wiring is al most identical but the single connector is female on both ends.
The evenrude when I bought it was running but didnot get control or it was broken can,t rember.
Question is will the control box from the johnson work for the Evenrude?
The Johnson has the same connectors as the evenrude but it also has two extra wires that the Evenrude dos not have.

So, is the junction box there for the 90hp? There is some expensive stuff in that box.

To answer your question, the 40 and 90 are worlds apart. I can e-mail you the diagram for the 90. Send me your e-mail address in a PM. I probably can come close for the 40hp, maybe not exact.
