I have installed a new fuel tank in the bow of a 18 ft sylvan. I want to put a valve in line just in case of a cut line or something. I'm worried the fuel level could be high enough to cause a problem if fuel line damage were to occur. This would make a very dangerous situation. I looked for valves and didn't really see much. I want a 5/16 bulkhead two way male barb type valve if they make such a thing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Ayuh,.... Just for That reason, the Coast Guard requires an Anti-siphon valve at the tanks outlet....

THANKS. I had no idea.

So, If I have the anti siphon would I also need to install the shutoff?

Also, what fuel filter would you recommend for a 1979 140 Evinrude?
