Wow, you have all been so helpful. I bought it for $1,200. Wasted my money. We are just gonna cut it up and that it to the local recycling center, they take boats under 12ft. We are just gonna cut it on several pieces.
Thanks guys, your the best.

Sad but it's the best thing to do.
If the motor runs and the trailer is decent you have some value there to recoup. Sorry for all the bad news, but here, we tell it like it is, not always what a poster wants to hear. This is why the forum encourages people to ask questions before they purchase a boat if they do not have a lot of boating experience.

Looks like a nice boat at one point. Now, you have made the right decision. I am not a fan of the chrysler outboards, but if it doesn't take much to get it running you can recoup a couple hundred dollars. Also, the trailer could recover a couple hundred, depending on condition and age.

we often buy boats for the motor. If you are into the motor, and it test ok on compression it might be ok to takle that.

Last donor boat i bought cost me $20 bucks to have scraped on the trailer at the dump. Put motr on my resto and sold the trailer for $150./

Trailer looks like an EZLoader

These days, most Education costs more than $1200...
When you cut the Boat into pieces, wear proper PPE, you really don't need to be inhaling the Dust, or getting in your Eyes.

Your making a sound decision to scrap it but if your still curious, when the EP issue a hill # they usually put 2 on the boat one on the transom and they hide one somewhere maybe in the bow storage area or under a gunnel. Maybe you will find it when you’re cutting it up and it can answer your question.
