Hello I am new to owning a achillis raft and it has a small leak and I do not know the type of rubber it is so I can purchase a patch for it . I went to west marine to purchase one and they told me that there where two types plastic and another type which I cannot recall. any help would be appreciated

Yup, if it's an Achilles, it's Hypalon.

Also, don't buy a patch kit at West Marine, you'll pay about 4 times too much.

Thank you Drowned rat and Lester I looked at the web site yup I can see that west marine is not the place to go. I think that the patch kit they had was about 4" in diameter for three patches for the same price . You guy"s are the bomb ............Thank you again................ Paul.

Hi guy's I have no seat's in my raft like the newer models only the floor the question is can I put seats in like the newer one or is that just a dream? If I can how would I attach it ? would I need to glue a sleeve to slip the wood in ? any help would be great. Thanks Paul

Pictures of your boat would help and exactly what kind of seat are you wanting to put in?

Hello Drowned rat , I do not know how to up load pictures . I have a 12 ft Achilles raft model # SD-124 with a plywood floor . I have seen rafts with seats ,it looks like there is a rubber sleeve that is mounted on the tubes that hold the wood is this right can this be done ?
