You said you're replacing All 3,.... Get them Out of your way......
can the u-joint bellow be replaced with the gimbal ring on the vessel?

Nope.........
also i didnt see a clamp towards the drive on the u-joint bellow, is the metal ring the only thing that holds it on?

I Think it's just that compression ring,..... Have a look Here, I Think your drive is in here........
any help would be greatly appreciated(hint to don s.) thanks

Re: u-joint bellow replacement

You can leave the Gimbal ring in place, you need to remove the bell housing though. Removing the gimbal ring is substantially more work than the bellhousing due to the steering lever.

The metal ring is indeed the only thing that holds the rear of the bellows onto the bell housing. Use a slide hammer with a hook to pull it off (if you don't have the proper tool) and buy a new metal ring when you get a new bellows. They are cheap. The new one will need to be pressed or pounded in place.

Shift bellows can stay in place when you do the U joint bellows. Be a good time to change it though...
