I'm looking for the dimensions of the tool used to install the aluminum sleeve in the u-joint bellows on an Alpha 1 gen 2. The two dimensions I need are the two larger diameters (dimension A: flange diameter and B: body diameter; in the pic below)
If anyone has one of the tools and can measure that for me I would greatly apprecaite it.

Thanks,
Ryan

yep - sure is!!

Left side of my garage (in the middle of high school robot season) in pic. Right side has tool cabinet, 25 ton press, TIG welder, and air compressor - it either gets fixed or destroyed once it comes into the garage!!!

Tools to make other tools, yep it's a wonderful thing.

Thanks for the dimensions. I'll see if I can turn on down this week and get that ring installed on Saturday afternoon.

Not sure but you might want the dimensions of the step on that tool also, the distance from the large dia. to the small dia.(thickness) just a thought. Nice shop there! :D

No thank you, that's some serious jail time.

45Auto, thickness'? Also, from the pics I've seen on the net it appears the small diameter is not tapered, is this correct?

Last Q, the tool drives the aluminum ring on the out side of the flange, not the little lip on the inside correct?

Thanks again for your help.

Had to remake my alignment tool, and also a tool to drive the gimble. What ever grade stainless I used turned really nice...

The part that contacts the bearing in the 2nd pic is made from D2, not stainless.

Here's the dims on mine. I started with a scrap disk 4.25" in dia by 1.5 thick, so the total thickness isn't critical. The 4.037 was the minimum I had to take off it for clearance inside my Bravo bellhousing. No tapers, all edges are straight 90's.

From the looks of your stool there, you'd better lay off the mexican food.

Personally I have in my garage a Tig welder, mini-mill, two lathes (6x10 and 9x20), drill press mig welder, band saw, three workbenches, and right now a 21 foot deep vee hull. It's hard to walk in there at the moment :)
