UH OH.. i am in trouble... unreplacable part?

hey guys. i have a 77 35hp johno and the lever latch that opens the top cover... mine seazed up and at preasent i need to pull start my outboard at the moment as the starter needs a rebuild, and as i dont have a tilt/trim i need the cover on to lift whilst leaving and returning to ramp, so i cant shut boat off whilst out in the water... is this latch repairable? model number is 35EL77C

I would call the supplier and ask about shipping maybe it's just not listed to ship to you... other option do you know someone that they will ship to then have that person get it and ship it to you? Just a thought.

In the interim, where exactly is it broke? If it is just the handle, should be pretty easy to do a fix until you get a new one.

Have you looked at Ebay,I see lots of parts from Australia and GB,Even used parts suppliers,Just go there type in Johnson Evinrude Latch,try it! Try different searches like Johnson evinrude cowling etc.

Marine Engine will ship overseas, as someone already said just call them.

in the mean time, if the handle was all that broke.... you may be able to mill or file it square so that you can use a wrench on it...just a thought. thats what i did on my 15hp johny...

sounds good... yeah at the moment i have vice grips on it but it has snappet off 2 times so far but if it snaps once more im in trouble lol
