Ultraflex control box and C5 cables connectivity issue...

I just changed the outboard on my dads boat from a Johnson to a 1981 50HP Mercury Blueband. The boat has an an Ultraflex Single lever sidemount control box on it. The control box is an older version of the following, but exactly the same dimensions etc..

Here's some pics of the unit off the boat...

According to the Ultraflex manual, kit K35 should take my C5 cables and connect them to the control box...

It just doesn't look right to me (I'm probably wrong) - I thought the kit k60 looked more like what I needed??

Does anyone have experience or some info on connecting these cables to the Ultraflex control box??

It was the K35 Kit I needed. What the kit pictures don't show is that the two "scissor" parts come apart if you remove the circlip shown in the picture. I'll have to upload the diagram that came with the kit it shows how to complete the installation.
