Do any of you folks use an underwater camera to see what is under your boat? My home lake was born out of a volcano thousands of years ago but has some rock fields that can be quite dangerous. At the same time that is also where some of the best fishing is. This lake is shallow , 10' - 15' on average with a max of 50'. It sure would be nice to see what is under there so I can more confidently navigate in those areas. I'm looking for something that can provide clear visibility and won't break the bank.

Mask and snorkel with swim fins is about as cheap as it gets.

Seriously though, I have used some extremely high end underwater cameras, and the resolution still doesn't compare to the human eyeball.

Have a GoPro with underwater case, and its pretty good. Would probably be better in the ocean but here at the lake, its clear but not like the ocean.

I can see 20 feet down, but after that the thermocline happens and gets dark

GoPro mounted on along pole, if you don't want to go swimming.

UHH a depth finder or in your case a fish finder works great in rocky shallower waters and will give you a better gauge of the bottom as it tracks the actual depth and shows fish vs a camera that may show you rocks but not the depth and is limited in distance it displays. There a lot cheaper and probably more durable than a camera.
