I have a chance to buy a uni flite boat 17.5 ft cuddy with a 115 mercury 1984. Any information on that boat. Would it be worth $1000.00? The motor runs fine. All comments welcome. Thank you.

Seeing as no one else has chimed in.... I'll take a crack at it. IMO, boats that age (you didnt say, im assuming late 70s early 80s) it's all about condition. Really check it over for rot in the floors etc. It should look like she's lived inside her whole life. If it doesnt, it'll be rotten, again my opinion.

Also, IMO, the outboard is most of the value, so youre really paying 1k for a 115 merc. It better run great, start easily etc. A compression test would be a good idea.

I don't know about your spelling on the name, however, there used to be a boat by Uniflyte ( I think that's the spelling? ) and it was a first class boat.
If it runs & in nice shape, I don't think you could go wrong.

100% second Almost famous.

Check for soft spots... check for corrosion in the motor.. flex in the transom.. if there is any water damage and rotted wood, chances are it hit the rest of the wood and the foam is waterlogged
