HERE IS MY PROBLEM. I HAVE A FORCE 120 LDRIVE- ON A 21' MAXUMSOMETIMES.( NOT ALL THE TIME) THE ENGINE DIES. WHEN I TRY TO START IT IT BARELY TURNS OVERBATTERY( GOOD), IF I WAIT 1015- MINS IT STARTS. I JUST REPLACED THE LOWER UNIT AND DONT KNOW IF THIS WOULD HAVE ANY CONNECTION TO MY PROBLEM.

Re: UNIQUE PROBLEM

Hardly unique, Juice. Happens all the time.

Remove, clean and reattach all connections in the starter high current circuit.

Also: please do not SHOUT with all caps. Hard to read.

Let us know what you find.

Re: UNIQUE PROBLEM

thanx for your help. But I am not sure what exactly is the starter high current circuit. Is the voltage reg part of that, and what else would I have to remove to clean. Thanks for your help again. julian

Re: UNIQUE PROBLEM

No, leave the regulator alone.
The high current circuit is made up of the thick wires that carry a heavy current load, to/from the battery, the starter relay, the starter, the ground cable. Remove, clean, tighten, as JB said.
