A few years back i worked with a guy who a new landed
imagrant from Germany.Nice guy just like you and I.My oldest son was doing a book report on Germany so i thought it would be a good idea to intervew him.As it turned out when the second world war came up as far as he new (and taught in school) it never happend.He said that some jewish people did die but as of for the mass killings it never happend.
So what im trying to say is the censorship of the Holocaust has been around for a long time over in the
U.K. and probably more so in some places than others .
Just my two cents.

Perhaps it is so in some countries, in my years of schooling in the UK, we were acutely made aware of the many atrocities that occured in Europe during WW2, as well as in many other parts of the world.

Vlad my mom and dad made sure that i new what had happend during ww2.Not school books tex but real life events that happend to them and to the people around them.
This guy realy did think that what he was taught was right and my son and i were out to lunch.

I cannot say i was there, because i was not. My grand father migrated from germany during the war actually just prior to the full world war.

It was during the 60's i experienced the following, we would have family picnic's, that is where all of my uncle's and aunt's along with there children would get together and have a great deal of fun.

There would be time's, when all of a sudden my grandfather would suddenly burst out in rage, i can tell you it was very intimidating, John was the unspoken center of all activities, to him everyone alway's listened.

My mother who was not German and told me that my aunt's would speak there native geman language, and John would not allow that, he actually screamed like a angry violent man, and he was not at all that.

One day year's later i asked him why no one could speak german, for a moment i thought is was going to be whipped or beat'n, then with a tear's in his eye's he told me of the brown bagger's (Brown Shirt's) what i can tell you is this of his account, People were taken into the feild's and shot and buried, truck loads of them.

Looking back at this thourgh time, i can say John was a proud man who had his spirit crushed, only thourgh is grandchildren would he laugh and play.

So if this is a uncomfotable situation for the people of the middle east, who care's,let them feel the pain of inhumanity, i have and survived, nor will i ever forget it, and have taught my children of the arrrogance of mankind and just how selfish and childish we are.

That is of course not to say it should be repressed in history, of course, but just like some movies, age is an appropriate measure of when some issues can be covered.

We don't have influence of what is taught abroad, but we CAN have influence what is taught HERE. Common sense comes into play here, you don't show the bodies to 1st graders, but to 11th ya do. Get real and use common sense!!!
