Re: Unknown circuit breaker
Unless it's a spare for both the TNT and the motor itself just being stored there, it's likely the PO needed to get the system working and "temporarily" bypassed it until the PO could get another one and then forgot all about it. Or the PO was too cheap to get another one. Either way you should have a CB in your TNT system. The two red leads from the relays, that are now somehow directly connected to the red power pole, should be disconnected and joined together on the same end of the CB and the other end of the CB should then be connected to the red power pole not connected to the starter. This way you can power the TNT without having to turn your ignition key on. You'll notice that on the side of the CB you'll see a tab sticking out. That's the reset button in case it trips. I just installed a TNT on my boat so the wiring is fresh in my mind.
Make sure you disconnect the battery connection before you touch anything in there. There's lots of positive and negative poles next to each other that are unprotected (adding protection is on my things to do list). I installed one of those battery disconnect knobs (green knob/brass clamp) so it's now super easy to do... no excuses for not doing it.
I happen to drop a socket extender while I had the cover off and as luck would have it, the darn thing landed across opposite poles and gave off a loud spark and scared the hell out of me and my pocket book. I feared that I had just damaged a power pack, CDI or something expensive. Fortunately, everything was fine. Lesson learned.
