Unknown Evinrude 15034 09563 Tiller handle question.

If anyone can identify year and model that would be a great start. A swivel lug that connects the tiller to the steering plate has been welded back and I need to refit the tiller handle. I have never seen a handle like this before. It is marked OMC accessories and has a sliding sleeve handle that operates the shift through an external cable. Need to know how this little beast comes apart so that I can put the handle back on the lugs.

I've seen one of those before. Kinda slick to shift w/o reaching to the side of the motor. I didn't have to remove it to fit a tiller, but some wise mariner will likely chime in.. probably w/link to a schematic for that accessory... It is indeed a '61 18hp.

Ok, so no one knows. Found the two screws under the decal sleeve and removed them. Gave me enough extra movement to be able to pry the two halves apart sufficiently to slip the handle over and into the lugs. Still don't know how to take the beast apart. There is a spring loaded push button in the end of the handle which has broken off. Don't know what the knob is for but I would like to fix it if possible. Must have some use. Probably a shift handle detent release
