up date on 225 fitcht motor

just want to say thanks to those who responded to my first question about this motor and i guess i was lucky enough I was able to back out of the deal i had made to buy the boat the funny thing is I got answers and info on this forum I went to a evinrude/ johnson exclusive forum and i'm still waiting for some one to answer my question about reliability of that motor maybe that says it all

if you was lucky or not to stay away is another question. like i answered you in your first question - when it runs you would be amazed about the power and smooth running of this beast. when not you might get severe problems and costs. you will never know.

i had a V6 ficht for three years and it just worked fine. good luck for searching another engine !

You won't be sorry. If you still want Evinrude, get an E-TEC.
