Here it is. I have an old trailer, maybe 1969, make and model unknown. Broke a spring hanger returning from a saltwater trip. Smashed the bearings when the tire blew, but I always carry spare bearings. I managed to McGiver it back together and now am having trouble finding parts. I 've looked at Iboats and Champion with no luck.
The axle is a 61" center of wheel to center of wheel, much shorter than store bought and the spindel is 1 1/4" strate. The springs are 5 leaf slip tails.
Hub kits all seem to be tapered, and the over the counter springs I'am finding are shorter than mine and not as strong. I'm thinking of a two bolt clives type of spring but concerned that the ride of the trailer will be to stiff.
What do you think?

abctrailerparts.com has a 3500 lb axle with 60 inch hub face which I'm guessing would by your 61 inches from center of the wheel. The spring perch mounts are 46 inches on center. His prices are hard to beat. Not sure what to say about the springs.

Honestly, with it being that old and if parts are getting hard to come by, I'd consider replacing it, but if your good with a welder and tools you can replace the stuff, though consider all the parts cost and labor time Vs getting a new or evan a used trailer thats in allot better shape. You can cut, reweld, than sleve and weld the axle to your needed dimensions, cut off and weld new mounting brackets etc...If the frame of the trailer is in great shape than depending on cost and time you might find it worth doing if you can't find another for a resonable price. As far as stiffness, what you describe would be stiffer with the shorter spring, but how much is anybody's guess.
