I have to install a waterpump kit on a 25 Mercury outboard.I will be needing a sealer.Any recommendations ? OMC gasket sealing compound or Quicksilver Perfect Seal ? Any auto parts store alternatives ? Thanks !
I think permatex makes an equivalent to perfect-seal that you should be able to get at your local auto parts store. I forget what they call it, just ask for the brown, gooey stuff....
Permatex #3 Aviation-Type is what you're looking for. Most auto parts stores will sell it in a small bottle with a screw-top containing a brush. Good stuff.
