just an update after fine tuning the engine a little more and messing with the carb. I can now get this 9000 lb sucker to come up on plane in 13 seconds compared to 1.5 minutes with the old motor. The only issue i might have is i'm using an adapter plate to go from a square bore to a spreadbore carb and i felt the adapter plate last night and it was ice cold with an air temp of 80 deg. The real test will be this week when we take it to the chesapeake bay for 5 days.
