Re: Update on my weight loss

Thanks! I get my arse kicked at 30 minutes, can't wait till I can hit 45, then an hour like you!

I use a little mind trickery on myself. I make my goal 10 minutes. When I hit 10 I think to myself, that didn't kill me, let me hit another 10....by the time I hit 30 or 40 minutes I can say to myself an hour isn't too far now so hit it. LOL.

The mind games I play with myself just to keep me going. I HATE CARDIO!!!!

hahaha, I do the same, I almost quit three times today, I was tired, my back hurt, and I was in a class all day, but as soon as you hit certain marks, it gets easier.
Jamming out to good music helps!

Re: Update on my weight loss

congrats! I too have been spending more time losing weight and not on the pc as much lol. I dropped 50 lbs since August 15th. Low carb diet, 1 day a week to cheat on it if i want, and dumbbell exercises in the garage along with a few walks a week. really not that hard at all once u get into it. But, I got about another 50 lbs to go......once again congrats on the progress, its inspiring!

Good job! I gotta admit...getting a boat has me motivated to lose (again...) about the same amount you are.

Six months to go before summer...loking to shed 50 by then. Felt like a walrus trying to climb over the bow the last camping trip.

A friend at work and I have an inside joke about being out on the boat - we refer to each other as "Harry Manatee" whenever we talk about boating with the kids.

I know exactly how you feel. Good luck on your weight loss too.

And guys just to try and help some, don't think of what you do as dieting. Dieting doesn't tend to work. Instead think of how you can change your lifestyle and get into the habit of eating smaller portions and overall just monitor your calorie and fat intake.

yep you are right. I am starting to realize its about making life-long changes. Ill probably have to battle weight loss my whole life now. I found a cool website allrecipes.com that has really helped keep low carb and healthy food interesting for us. lots of stuff for the whole family too, great appetizers n stuff.
