Re: Update on Project long Haul

As usual, your project is very well documented. Wish I had taken the trouble to document so many of the different aspects of my project as you have.

Have you thought about putting all the photos and commentary together on a CD for sale?

Its called I hava a digital camera and I like to use it. :) Paid 600 dollars for it 6 years ago.
A Sony 10x Mavica.
The resolution is 640x480. It is absolutly the best for the web. Also it uses Floppy disk for storage. 20 hi res pic:) fit on a disk and I still have old AOL floppies. :)
I take 5 with me to the zoo and such and get 100 Photos of the wildlife and kids and such.

No I leave it on the Share a project web site.

Now as the the gas cap I saw a black 1 on a new tracker boat. the cap was on a small box at the top of the splashwell hmm makes me think.

Oh no not another project!!!

Realgun, I am cleaning out my old garage and I found a control box but it is missing one of the levers. If I remember right you have a knob missing or a broken lever?...(your link is down) Well anyway I am junking this thing so if you can use it its yours. EDIT: Sorry, I see on your above post that you fixed it.

Realgun, you sure that you don't have an ex-wife or someone coming around in the middle of the night and vandalizing your project ? You must have used up all your bad luck by now. Cheer up, soon you will be on the water and all these problems will be forgotten.

I would like to ask however for just one seed from your money tree that you must have growing out back :p Does it produce all year long or just in the spring when its time to get the boat in the water :D :D

More new stuff

I would like to ask however for just one seed from your money tree that you must have growing out back
That my money cow and shes not for sale!

Actually I got the tax refund so there were most of the parts I need and last year I got parts too.

I hate to say this but I got lots of parts but have not installed them just ask the wife!!

I still do things cheap and sometimes its better to buy a tool rather than hurt yourself trying to save a dollar or two! IE I have a hair dryer but it was not hot enough and wwas just frustrating. Heatgun is cheap (Harbor freight is my store ;) ) And worked fine.

Actually did not work on the boat yesterday I had to fix the A/C. Or in out case the swamp cooler :)

Added the new fancy tewperate controller. IE thermostat.

Heres why. It get warm during the day the air is left on to cool the house. Just before bed if its still hot and it is in may, june, july, aug, and sept.,then its still on and in the morning your so darn cold!!!

We don't do refregerated air here. Unless you want to save water. But it cheaper to use the swamp.

Our humidity level was 7% yesterday. Temp was 77 and thats hot in the house.

More stuff done just thought you might want to see. The wiring in the boat was a mes the only wire that was done correctly was from the motor to the sitch other than that ever concievable shortcut was used. I will say it kinda worked but not in my boat!
I have this pile of wire and electical tape all over the boat and did not put anything in yet!

Re: Update on Project long Haul

Asl the tilt trim is not working now. and the trim cylinder is cocked. the top has broken/lost the bottom two bolts. replacements are like 6.50 each! Will be doing a substitute bolt/screw as soon as I find the correct size and type.

Re: Update on Project long Haul

Tuesday after the idiots give me back my lake!
The "Lake" becomes the third largest population on holidays in the summer.
Might even try Monday afternoon. Kids and wife are outa town for the week and I can do anything I want. Mostly sleep :) But will be taking the boat out for all test runs.

Pray it continues to work well!

Realgun,

Take advantage of the time alone! That is hard to come by around my house. I am amazed that your trim worked at all. It looked like it was binding and crooked. Amazing.
