My boat's upholstery is in pretty good condition, but it has a few small holes in high-wear areas. They are small and haven't spread & the rest of the upholstery is still soft and strong. What can I use to patch the holes? I'm think of something like the patches you had on your jeans as a kid. I don't care that you can see a patch on the upholstery, I just want it to last. Thanks.

Re: Upholstery patch

Go to a fabric store and find a color and style of vinyl coated fabric that suits you and matches your upholstery, use scissors to cut out your patches in whatever shapes work the best, clean/degrease your upholstery where your patch will go and glue it on with 3M weatherstrip adhesive(it's yellow in a tube at Autozone) and you'll be in good shape. Take your time and do it carefully and it'll look fine! Good Luck!
