There a very few production boats built in epoxy. Some high powered racing hulls using composite laminates etc. but most retail hulls for the general public are still being designed and built using polyester and vinylester resin and gelcoat. At the turn of the century they did mostly do away with wood core stringer systems and some even did the same with transoms but the resin and glass have stayed pretty much the same with the exception that Woven Roving is no longer used and the biaxials and tri and quadaxials have taken over. It's still a Cost thing.
