Used 18 ft Crestliner prices/value

Not sure if this is the right spot to ask, but an elderly neighbor may be selling his 1974 Crestliner. He's the original owner. It is orange, 305 or 350 i/o engine. Always trailered, never kept in water, freshwater only. Used about 8 times/year for a few hours each outing. Pretty much like new condition and has always had proper maintenance. New lower unit a few years ago. Any idea on a price I should ask or value?

About the only used boat value guide that I know of is NADA, and it is noted to be often inaccurate, especially with older boats. You don't list the model of the boat, but I looked at the NADA value of a 74 Crestliner Norseman 19, one of their sterndrive models and it was valued around $1,800. With the used boat market as it is today, I personally wouldn't offer much over $1,200, and that only if it is in excellent mechanical condition. That price, however, could be interpreted as insulting to an elderly person that may not be fully aware of the current state of the used recreational market. I'm assuming the outdrive is Mercruiser? Try to get some more detailed information of the boat, engine, and outdrive and post back before considering what to offer.

Unfortunately, jevery is right. It is probably only going to be $1200 to $1500.

All I can remember after seeing it briefly years ago, was it was a deep V hull, fiberglass, Mercruiser, and it didn't have an open bow. I don't know the model, just a typical runabout ski boat. I figured $1k to $1,200 max, as it is 35 years old. Thanks
