Not trying to start a flame war, just trying to find info. on the web for this or any Parti Kraft before purchase has been futile. Looking to buy, but research on build quality, satisfaction, review, owner feedback, etc...has been a real PIA & their web page sucks! Would have just said "never mind", but did find this from J.D. Power '07-'08 for prior year ratings:

"Pontoon segment
With substantial year-over-year improvements in customer satisfaction, Harris FloteBote receives its first award in the study, leading the pontoon boat segment with high ratings in six of the seven satisfaction factors. Bennington, Premier, G3 Sun Catcher and Parti Kraft, respectively, follow Harris FloteBote in the rankings. Bennington receives high ratings in ride and handling, while Parti Kraft records the fewest problems experienced by owners in the segment with 167 PP100, compared with the segment average of 287 PP100. To be honest, I would worry more about the engine than the boat, it is a pontoon and there really is little that can go wrong with them, no stringers or transom to rot ect ect.

Check the deck over for soft spots and inspect the tubes ,including underneath, for obvious damage and have the compression readings doen on the engine.

An on water test is almost mandatory, shouldn't be a problem with a dealer.

On a side note is it funny that Bennington is 2nd and Sedona is 10th, they are both made by Bennington, essentially the same boat made by the same people on the same line.

Anyhoo , price doesn't seem super crazy for a dealer boat but is probably a bit high, but then again the same boat in different parts of the country can sell for alot more or less.

If that is inline with other boats you have looked at and you like it pull the trigger or low ball him, all they can do is say no.

Thanks 5150abf...I very much appreciate the advice. Dealer is only in Tue-Sat, so will talk tomorrow.

I believe the deck is solid aluminum, but not sure. As for Sedona by Bennington, they use much lesser grade seats, vinyl, carpet, electronics, etc...on them. Could tell a big difference in the fishing seats just by looking side-by-side. Guess the lower quality doesn't hold up over the years?

I just missed a 2002 w/ Honda 130 in prime condition (boat, motor & trailer) for $16k from an owner, so was trying to determine a fair price for a 2006 with a Honda 150? Seems the Coast Guard uses Merc. Verado or Honda for reliability.

Might have to shoot you a PM if looks interesting after talking to dealer.

Thanks again!!!!
