Just wondering if there is any reason I cant use a below deck tank, above? I see that the above is red, where the below deck is tan ( clear). Has it anything to do with exposure to sun?
I have an older pontoon, and want to strap one on up under the 'sun deck' beside the motor. getting to it would be a pain because of this deck extending out over the motor.
I'd like to use a below deck tank as:
A) I'd be able to see the fuel level by looking at it from the side.
B) A sender unit is already installed, just have to hook it up to the dash meter.
C) I can make a bracket and place the filler cap at the side of the boat.
D) I can get the same size tank for less as a below deck type.
thanks
