well I've solved the tow vehicle problem with a VortecMax 6.0L 4x4 z71 Sierra 1500 GMC pick'em up truck. Should snatch the balls off a rattlesnake as my Pa used to say.

Thanks guys for making this a very entertaining posting.

A late model GMC half ton 4x4 will certainly do the job. Just be sure to take your credit card, as a 6.0 liter motor in a 4x4 really likes its petrol.

Towing anything in NM, AZ, NV and CA is demanding on a vehicle due to great elevation changes. I delivered a 4 cylinder Chevy truck to Yuma, AZ a few years ago, and no one told me that New Mexico was uphill--all the way from OK to AZ. It was grossly underpowered for high altitudes.

probably will! Although depending on year, it will probably leak the contents of its transfer case on said snake and kill it that way...

something i dont think that was stated was the reciever hitch, good idea to get under her and make sure its fully solid with a 3lbs bfh few wacks here and there to make sure its all good to go. i found out after i towed my boat home i looked under the bed and seen that my reciever was about 1 good pot hole away from dropping my boat on the road.

here is a picture of my truck and boat,
