V-8 with volvo 275 (cooling problem)

does the out drive have an impeller in it . my engine has the pump on the front of the harmonic balancer, but its not pulling the water thru my lower unit with my ear muffs on. water will run from the hose up front out the lower unit.
besides the impellar what else do i check.
I need some help !!! thanks

No impeller in the outdrive. Follow all the connections from the impeller housing back and see if you find any possible air leakage. the hose from the transum to the drive is always suspect. remove all the hoses and make sure there and clean and tight.

Did you plug the hole at the bottom of the drive while on the muffs?
