I am buying a 28 Carver mariner with twin 305's with v drives, the port motor runs great but when i took her out and ran her the oil pressure light on the helm never went out and the engine quickly started to overheat, once i slowed he down the engine temp went right back to norm, from looking at nthe system i see there is an oil screen on the v drive, going to check that first. I also saw that the cooling system sucks water through the hull, then the VDrive, and to the engine, so it makes since to me that the engine could overheat do to the V Drive overheating! I guess what i am asking is if anyone has experianced this prob with a v drive!
