V4 Fuel pump teardown 1988 88spl diagram/instructions/video? What typically fails?

New addition to the family..was setting 4 years...going to rebuild kit the fuel pump as precaution.....anybody have pics or help?
Does the whole thing come off the engine? Which screws hold to the block?

Anybody know Oring size? It doenst come with the kit

I want to have all the stuff ready before i remove it.......usually gaskets and orings tear upon removal

The factory does not offer a rebuild kit for this pump. New only. Must be some good reason... Others may make kits, you'd have to contact them for instructions...

I would not use a 398514 repair kit on that pump. That repair kit is for a 1987 40, 45,48,50 hp pump.
