V4 Looper,do I need V6 lower unit?

Hello,and thanks for looking.I was told my 120 V4 mod.#E120TLETF2 ser.#G00310118A needs to have a V6 lower unit.If this is the case,what more do I need to know?I will be buying one in the next couple of weeks and need to get the right part.I'm looking on E-bay don't want to bid until I'm sure. Thanks

i dont think your are required to stick to the V6 case.<br />the difference is in the gear ratio.<br />-the V6 case used 2.25 to 1, in order to spin the larger prop, associated with the larger gear case.<br />-the V4 case used 2.00 to 1.<br />-<br />so you could find another V4 gear case with 2.00 to 1 gears- you should be fine<br />but mite have to get a prop for that unit.
