v4 looper midsection

im looking for a 1988 ish v4 looper midsection with or without powertrim and tilt. im having a hard time locating one.
checked local marinas and ebay nothing.
most marinas tell me oh we just got our junk removed metal and alluminum are up these days.
any place who might have a nice one?

Most dealers get catalogs from Outboard Recycle. They also have a website. I'd think they'd have plenty available collecing dust. Their main income comes form powerheads, gearcases, and trim units, but I'm sure they get the stuff inbetween too. Problem is you have to do it through a dealer.

Edit: I tried outboardrecycle.com and it isn't what I was referring to, but may be a better possibility for you. The one I was thinking about is obrparts.com.

Or try Jack at Superior Marine (800-338-9281), he has plenty.

will get my 87 block back soon from machinist.
bored all 4 holes to 88 std.
cant wait to see how the sleeves look, how much metal is left.
he would check the ports also smooth them out to original hight.

Now, use the pistons from a 1993 & newer 200/225 V6. They are lighter and will help smooth out the idle. If you really want to go all out for a fantastic idle, have Jack throw in 4 light rods from the 93 & newer V6.

he will get me 4 wiseco pistons.
forged alluminum.
they should be fine right?
i have them in my 1990 115 cf idles fine for a 2 stroke.

Yep, they're fine. Get the 3143PS & SS rather than the 3119PS & SS. Make sure they get you the 31 series (3143) not the 30 series (3043 or 3019).
