v6 1750 block parts into v6 1500 block

i have a blown block on my 1976 v6 1750 and have found a 1978 v6 1500 block. can i swap the parts off of the 175hp over to the 150hp?all pistons,shaft etc. are the same parts with the exception of the carbs? i know the exhaust ports are different also. if it is possible do i need the 150hp carbs or can i rejet the current carbs? how will the new motor be timed? as a 150hp? please give me any other info that i might need.thanks!

Everything will swap, just be careful as some of the early 175's had a "d" shaped exhaust and the 150 is rectangular exhaust and you may have to find a different adapter plate...

the exhausts are different. was planing on getting it machined, i havent got the block yet if possible i want to have it machined to match up exactly.

Don't you mean inline 6's ???

no they are v6's. to my knowledge they dont make a 175 hp inline 6.
